MENEO
MENEO /me'neo/ means movement, commonly associated with the particular way a body moves while walking or dancing.
The studio was born from an atypical look at jewelry; a desire to share a lifelong passion for design and geometric shapes while exploring the relationship between balance and form. Moreover, it is a wish to inspire others to de bold.
Meneo is continuously exploring the links between digital processes and analog craftsmanship.
MENEO is the combination of movement, balance and form.
Founded in 2018 by Gee-Ana Sánchez. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she moved to New York to pursue a Master Degree in Architecture at Pratt Institute. After graduating, she worked in a small architecture firm, where she recognized that the slow reality of the architecture industry did not suit her personality. Gee-Ana missed the speedy nature and experimentation of Architecture School, the creativity involved in Art School, and the everyday craftsmanship that both institutions required. Wanting to design on a smaller scale, she decided to pursue her passion for minimalist design and establish her own practice.
